Don’t march the Throne Room as though you were
God’s National Security Advisor,
Giving Him advice on
How Things Should Turn Out,
showing Him disturbing charts illustrating
What will happen if He doesn’t
Do what you say.
He doesn’t need to hear your heartfelt speeches about
why the guy you voted for
should win.

You are addressing the Creator of Peace
and the Creator of Evil,
and He already cast His lot
and sealed the fate of our arrogant little nation.

Be careful.
Because the faithful can talk themselves into
Believing anything is right
and anything is wrong,
and often they miss the forest
for the trees.

Be careful.
The North and the South
both went to their bloody deaths
believing they were fighting for
Righteousness,
And the wounds they ripped into
our nation’s chest
still bleed.

Be careful.
Remember,
God chose Abraham,
but He also chose Jacob.
He chose Peter the Great,
and Stalin.
He chose Nebuchadnezzar,
and Daniel
He chose Reagan,
And He also chose Obama,
On purpose,
Like He chose Ahasuerus, Haman, and Esther

for such a time as this.
